Iranian Speaker Emphasizes Fighting While Negotiating to Force U.S. to Accept Demands
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf stated that relying solely on negotiations and agreements cannot guarantee that the U.S. will stop attacking Iran; a strategy of fighting while negotiating must be adopted. He pointed out that merely depending on war and escalating tensions cannot compel the enemy to abandon threats. The solution is to conduct battles and negotiations simultaneously to establish lasting deterrence. Qalibaf emphasized that full military engagement must be pursued when necessary, transforming military victories into political gains to secure the interests and resources needed to enhance strength. He mentioned that he anticipated the U.S. would not fulfill its commitments even before signing the memorandum of understanding, thus designing it in two phases: first, achieving strategic advantages through combat, and then forcing the U.S. to accept the understanding. He noted that fighting and negotiating does not imply endless war, but rather using combat to put the enemy in a difficult position, compelling them to accept the legitimate demands of the Iranian people. He also pointed out that previous promises made by the U.S. president have now been violated, and the U.S. must be punished and change its behavior, fully recognizing that it must accept the legitimate demands of the Iranian people.
