World Liberty Financial CEO Denies Discussing Business Matters with Trump
World Liberty Financial (WLF) CEO Zach Witkoff stated that the market performance of the USD1 stablecoin demonstrates that there is no conflict of interest. In an interview with CNBC, Witkoff pointed out that the circulation of USD1 has exceeded $4 billion, with over $1 billion traded in the past 24 hours, indicating real demand. He responded to concerns that WLF might be funneling money to Trump and his family through USD1, claiming that such worries are exaggerated and emphasizing that he has never discussed business matters with Trump, focusing instead on enhancing the actual value of WLF's products. He believes that stablecoins are becoming the native payment layer of the internet, and USD1 will play a significant role in the development of digital financial infrastructure. Meanwhile, WLF still faces scrutiny from some U.S. politicians regarding its overseas investments, political connections, and business interests.
