President Volodymyr Zelensky imposed sanctions on August 14 against 13 maritime vessels and 28 companies involved in the illegal export of Ukrainian grain from occupied territories. The sanctions list includes 13 vessels, among which 8 are flagged under Russia, 3 under Panama, and 1 each under Belize and Saint Kitts and Nevis. The sanctions also affect 11 Russian citizens who are either the owners of the vessels or their captains, as well as 28 legal entities engaged in transportation and logistics. Specifically, the list includes vessels such as Volgo-Balt 205, Asomatos, Panormitis, Don, Falcon S, Greendale, and others. The restrictions apply to all participants in the chain: from company and vessel owners to captains involved in the export of agricultural products. Ukraine plans to share this information with foreign partners to implement similar restrictions. The president's advisor on sanctions policy emphasized that the illegal export of grain must have consequences for all involved.
