Due to an attack on the Lazy Summer Protocol on July 6, the Summer.fi team has announced the closure of Summer.fi and its parent company, Labs. The attacker manipulated the prices of two USDC Vault shares on the Ethereum mainnet, stealing approximately $6.04 million in deposits, which significantly harmed the protocol and the team's own funds, leading to depleted operational capital. The team stated that there is no viable path for restructuring and will maintain the Summer.fi frontend until August 31. The future development of the Lazy Summer Protocol will be determined by the Lazy Summer DAO, which is working to restore all Vault withdrawal and redemption processes. The official support email and Discord will remain open until the end of August.
