SSV Labs Submits DIP-59 Proposal, Budget Significantly Reduced to 1.5 Million USDC and 2.7 Million SSV Tokens
On October 22, SSV Labs submitted the DIP-59 proposal, requesting an extension of network management authorization until June 30, 2027, along with adjustments to the budget and scope of work. The proposal indicates that SSV will shift from an expansion strategy to a "maintenance-first" approach. Technically, the focus in the second half of 2026 will be on completing the Boole network fork and supporting the Ethereum ePBS upgrade; the first half of 2027 will enter a pure maintenance phase with no new product development. Financially, SSV Labs has reduced its funding request, seeking 1.5 million USDC for 2026 and 2.7 million SSV tokens (including an option conversion mechanism) for the first half of 2027. The proposal exempts some expired unpaid funds and requires $900,000 in assets as payment collateral.
