SanDisk announced at its Investor Day in 2026 that it expects revenue for the fiscal years 2028 to 2030 to grow at a mid-to-low double-digit percentage annually. The company aims for a gross profit margin of approximately 80% and an operating profit margin of about 75% during the same period. The long-term contracts signed by SanDisk amount to $93.9 billion and consist of multiple long-term customer agreements. With the increase in AI inference, the role of storage devices is expanding, and SanDisk is developing a NAND-based architecture that complements HBM through its High Bandwidth Flash (HBF) technology. HBF can provide about eight times the capacity while aiming for bandwidth similar to HBM. SanDisk and SK Hynix began standardization work on HBF at the Open Compute Project (OCP) in February 2026. However, it is difficult to conclude that AI will eliminate the cyclicality of NAND, and the balance between increasing demand and expanding supply may impact the market conditions. SanDisk announced in July 2026 that it would sample BiCS10 1Tb TLC 3D NAND, reporting a 59% improvement in bit density.
