Russia has imported approximately 30,000 tons of AI-92 gasoline from Morocco by sea following the shutdown of major oil refineries due to strikes by Ukrainian drones. Fuel production in the country has fallen to 65% of summer demand. A tanker flying the flag of Panama loaded gasoline at the Moroccan port of Tangier in mid-July and arrived at the Arctic port of Murmansk. The supplier was the company 'Lukoil'. AI-92 gasoline is offered for railway deliveries from the Kola station, which services the port of Murmansk. In response to the shortage and rising prices caused by attacks on oil refineries, Moscow has implemented measures to support the domestic fuel market, including importing gasoline from Belarus and Kazakhstan, as well as maritime purchases. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated that Russia will begin importing petroleum products to stabilize the domestic market. The Russian government has extended the ban on the export of diesel fuel, gasoline, marine fuel, and gasoil until January 31, 2027.
