Rolante Moves to Become the National Capital of Bitcoin
The Constitution and Justice and Citizenship Commission (CCJ) of the Chamber of Deputies approved Bill 3.807/25, which aims to recognize Rolante as the National Capital of Bitcoin. The approval occurred without complex disputes and does not require a vote in the Plenary, moving directly to the Federal Senate. The advancement may only be delayed if a deputy requests a review in the coming days. Rolante stands out for its Bitcoin-focused ecosystem, with hundreds of merchants accepting the currency in various stores. This has created an active circular economy, allowing citizens to make purchases and hire services through quick mobile transfers. The high acceptance of the digital currency transforms the city into a convention center for finance, with experts organizing lectures to teach residents how to use transaction tools safely. The city's notoriety attracts international media attention, with journalists filming documentaries about the daily life of a Brazilian innovation hub. The recognition of Rolante also boosts tourism, with visitors planning itineraries to experience payments in Bitcoin.
