Pakistan and Hong Kong Explore Cooperation in Financial Services and Digital Assets
The Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (PVARA) has announced that Pakistan and Hong Kong are exploring deeper cooperation in the intersecting fields of financial services, digital assets, and tokenized capital markets. PVARA's Minister of State and Chairman Bilal Bin Saqib met with Hong Kong's Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Christopher Hui, to discuss topics such as the issuance of digital bonds, regulatory innovation, and how tokenization can support more efficient capital formation and financial market operations. Bilal Bin Saqib stated that Hong Kong's experience could serve as a reference for Pakistan in building its next-generation financial system.
