iPhone X Becomes Obsolete, Apple Stops Service

Apple has added the iPhone X to its list of obsolete products, ceasing hardware support for this model. Authorized service centers will no longer be able to order parts for the iPhone X. A product is considered obsolete if it has not been sold for more than seven years. Typically, owners can receive service and parts for at least five years after sales cease, with a possible extension to seven years if parts are available. Apple categorizes devices as 'vintage' and 'obsolete.' Vintage models have not been sold for more than five but less than seven years. The list of vintage iPhones includes the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max. The iPhone X is now in the obsolete category, along with the original iPhone and some versions of the iPhone 8 and iPhone SE. There have also been reports of Apple's plans to raise prices on products due to the rising costs of memory chips and storage devices.
