In July 2026, consumer inflation in Ukraine accelerated to 7.7% year-on-year, with prices rising by 0.3% over the month. The main factors driving price increases include the seasonal shift in harvests, rising water supply tariffs, and increased transportation costs. Actual inflation figures slightly exceeded the NBU's forecast due to seasonal shifts in the supply of raw products and higher administrative inflation. Core inflation remained at 8.1% year-on-year. In July, prices for raw food products increased by 2.2% year-on-year, while prices for meat and fruits decreased. Prices for non-food goods rose by 0.8% year-on-year, and service inflation remained at 13.7% year-on-year. Administratively regulated prices increased by 11.8% year-on-year, while fuel inflation slowed to 28.0% year-on-year. The NBU forecasts further inflation growth in the second half of the year to 10% by the end of 2026, with an expected decrease to 6.9% in 2027 and a target of 5% in 2028.
