Increases in ARCA: How much will be paid in monotributo starting August 2026
The semiannual update of the monotributo has already confirmed its impact, and thousands of taxpayers will need to review the amount they will pay from the next due date. In addition to the new fees, the billing limits for each category have also changed.
The deadline to review the tax situation is August 5, 2026, the cutoff date for those who need to change their category. It is important to note that the evaluation considers the accumulated parameters of the last 12 months and not just the income level recorded during the semester.
ARCA has officially announced the new values of the monotributo, which will start to apply with the payment corresponding to August 2026. The update was 16.8%, in line with the semiannual adjustment planned for the regime. The monthly fee includes three components: the integrated tax, the retirement contribution, and the health insurance. The amounts effective from August will be as follows:
- Category A: $49,527.18
- Category B: $56,379.08
- Category C: $66,020.12 for services and $64,530.58 for the sale of goods
- Category D: $84,612.93 for services and $82,564.81 for the sale of goods
- Category E: $119,811.45 for services and $108,267.51 for the sale of goods
- Category F: $150,784.21 for services and $129,930.65 for the sale of goods
- Category G: $230,312.94 for services and $158,815.05 for the sale of goods
- Category H: $522,706.68 for services and $317,895.01 for the sale of goods
- Category I: $963,747.86 for services and $474,992.78 for the sale of goods
- Category J: $1,167,299.76 for services and $580,793.69 for the sale of goods
- Category K: $1,614,446.04 for services and $702,103.24 for the sale of goods
The July fee maintains the previous values, so the detailed amounts will start to be paid from the August due date. The recategorization only applies to those who, after comparing their data with the new scales, need to move up or down a category. Those who remain within the same parameters do not need to take any action, as the system maintains the current category.
Monotributistas with less than six months of permanence within the simplified regime are also excluded from this process, as they do not yet meet the minimum period required for review. Before confirming the category, all parameters considered by ARCA must be reviewed. In addition to annual billing, the agency considers accrued rents, the area affected by the activity, and the electricity consumption recorded during the last 12 months.
Along with the fees, the maximum gross income limits that determine each category of the monotributo have also been updated. These values will serve as a reference to define whether to maintain the current category or modify it before August 5, 2026. The new limits are as follows:
- Category A: up to $12,009,410.45
- Category B: up to $17,595,182.74
- Category C: up to $24,670,494.31
- Category D: up to $30,628,651.43
- Category E: up to $36,028,231.33
- Category F: up to $45,151,659.41
- Category G: up to $53,995,798.87
- Category H: up to $81,924,660.37
- Category I: up to $91,699,761.90
- Category J: up to $105,012,519.20
- Category K: up to $126,610,838.75
The process can be completed from the official ARCA portal with CUIT and tax key. There, the taxpayer must access the Monotributo service, review the available information, confirm the corresponding category, and download the updated certificate.
It should be noted that failing to complete the recategorization when required may have consequences, as if the agency detects discrepancies through cross-checking of banking information, electronic receipts, credits in virtual wallets, or other tax records, it has the authority to carry out an ex officio recategorization, claim the owed differences, add interest, and even apply penalties provided for by current regulations.
