Fractile Raises Approximately $600 Million at a $6.5 Billion Valuation
Prefer us on GoogleAI chip startup Fractile is raising approximately $600 million at a pre-money valuation of $6.5 billion, with Lightspeed Venture Partners and Redpoint Ventures leading the round, and Thrive Capital and Founders Fund participating. Negotiations for this round of financing are still ongoing, and details may change. Three months ago, Fractile completed a $220 million financing round at a valuation of about $1 billion. The company has reached a preliminary agreement with Anthropic to sell approximately $250 million worth of chips, expected to be delivered in 2027. Fractile was founded in 2022 by Oxford University robotics expert Walter Goodwin, focusing on AI inference chips aimed at reducing the time it takes for AI to generate answers and solve complex problems.
