Mikhail Fedorov, former Minister of Defense of Ukraine, confirmed a conflict with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, who issued an ultimatum to the president regarding his dismissal. At a briefing in Kyiv on July 16, Fedorov stated that he had proposed replacing Syrsky and Chief of the General Staff Andriy Hnatov to achieve victory over the enemy with minimal losses. He noted that his team had suggested radical changes to avoid scandals similar to the one that occurred in the 'Skala' regiment. Fedorov also accused Syrsky of blocking his initiatives as Minister of Defense and sabotaging the TCC reform. He emphasized that it is impossible to address the issue of mobilization without a new social contract and real changes in the army, citing examples of scandals involving murders and queues of volunteers. Fedorov added that Syrsky is 'weaving intrigues' and instead of seeking ways to defeat Russia, he is creating internal conflicts.
