Ethereum ETFs See $320.1 Million Withdrawn, Bitcoin Outflows Slow to $228.4 Million
US spot Ethereum ETFs experienced net withdrawals of 320.1 million dollars in the week ending October 16, surpassing the 228.4 million dollars withdrawn from Bitcoin funds. BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) accounted for nearly all of the Ether redemptions, with a five-day net loss of approximately 299 million dollars, representing almost 93% of the total outflows from US spot Ether funds. The week began with an 85.4 million dollars industry-wide withdrawal, followed by a brief inflow of 24.8 million dollars on Tuesday, before selling resumed on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Despite the overall negative trend, Fidelity's FETH recorded modest positive flows, indicating varied investor sentiment towards different issuers. The significant withdrawals from the largest Ether product raise concerns about whether institutional interest will return to Ethereum as swiftly as it does to Bitcoin.
