Bernstein Initiates New Growth Cycle for USDC; Price Target of $140 for Circle Shares
Analysts at Bernstein have a bullish outlook on Circle, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin, predicting that the new growth cycle of this stablecoin could help the company grow over the next 12 months. Bernstein stated in its research note that USDC has shown signs of a revival of digital dollar after increasing its supply by about $2 billion in a week. This event marked the end of a six-month period of stagnation. Bernstein's assessment of Circle's stock (CRCL) has maintained an outperform rating, with a price target of $140, indicating a potential growth of about 60%. Circle's stock has risen nearly 40% in the past month. Bernstein also pointed to factors influencing the growth of stablecoins, including the return of positive momentum to cryptocurrency markets and the increasing adoption of stablecoins in payment systems. The share of USDC in the adjusted transaction volume of stablecoins has increased from about 40% in 2025 to over 60% in 2026. Circle's stock has experienced significant volatility since its initial public offering in June 2025, reporting revenues of $701 million and a net profit of $48 million in its most recent quarterly report.
