Anthropic PBC, the company developing the AI Claude, may spend up to $750 billion on computing power in the coming years. In the first half of 2026, the net loss amounted to $80.7 billion, significantly higher than the $13 billion for the same period in 2025. The bulk of the losses, $72 billion, is related to accounting expenses for the revaluation of financial instruments. The company spent about $9 billion on infrastructure, compared to $2.3 billion the previous year. Anthropic disclosed commitments for deals totaling around $450 billion over the next 7-10 years, including $111 billion with Google Cloud, $110 billion with Amazon Web Services, and $31 billion with Microsoft. The company is expected to file for an IPO in the coming weeks, with a potential marketing campaign starting on November 9. In the third quarter, the company achieved adjusted operating profit with a margin of over 11% and a gross margin of 85%. Anthropic also warned of risks related to security and political resistance to building new data centers in the U.S.
